No two applications are the same hence Alwayse have developed a range of material types that can satisfy all applications from standard to custom requirements.
Our range of bearing (load ball) materials can handle dust, salt water, chemicals and contaminants. Options include non-marking and hygienic properties.
Bearing types include Carbon Chrome, Stainless Steel, Nylon and Phenolic balls.
CARBON CHROME – TYPE 13
Standard product with carbon chrome balls and zinc plated pressings. Ideal for internal use where moisture may be present.
NYLON – TYPE 14
Nylon load ball with zinc plated pressings. Specifically designed for use with delicate materials like glass, wood, marble, metal. Phenolic load balls are used when harder-wearing, non-marking properties are required.
STAINLESS STEEL (ALL) – TYPE 15
Stainless steel ball, housing and internal parts. Ideal for outdoor use, this upgrade can handle full exposure conditions and very high temperatures (where the internal seal needs to be removed).
STAINLESS STEEL (BALL ONLY) – TYPE 16
Stainless steel ball with zinc plated pressings. This upgrade is for minimal exposure to water/moisture.
MATERIAL TYPES – QUICK REFERENCE TABLE
Material Option | Water/Moisture | Temperature Range | Non-marking |
---|
Carbon Chrome – Type 13 | Internal moisture only | -30°C to + 100°C | |
Nylon – Type 14 | Internal moisture only | -30°C to + 80°C | |
Stainless Steel (AIl) – Type 15 | Maximum exposure/ outdoor use | -30°C to + 200°C* | |
Stainless Steel (Ball Only) – Type 16 | Internal moisture and minimal external use | -30°C to + 100°C | |
*Higher temperatures upto 200°C can be handled with a 50% reduced load capacity rating.
