THE CHALLENGE
Alwayse worked with a global leader in the delivery of fully integrated pipeline solutions to the evolving energy industry. Delivering 750 km of pipeline a year and undertaking 60,000 welds, they execute many of the world’s most challenging subsea pipeline projects, safely and reliably.
However, pipes are dragged out to sea before being positioned on the seabed and the company was finding this process extremely inefficient and time-consuming. A better way was required, with no room for failure.
THE SMART SOLUTION
Alwayse Ball Transfer Units were placed underneath each pipe in a ‘V’ formation, making the movement of these large pipes easier and more efficient.
The Ball Transfer Units used are corrosion resistant, making them extremely resilient to the harsh conditions on the seabed.
